About this experience
The same hike, but at 4:30am, and worth every minute of lost sleep. Watch Rio wake up from one of its highest peaks. Lights flicker off. Sky turns pink. The city stretches below in silence.
After sunrise, we walk down through Vidigal as the community wakes up: bakeries opening, kids heading to school, fresh juice stands setting up. You see two sides of Rio in one morning.

FAQ
Why so early?
We need to be on the summit before sunrise. Sunrise is around 6am in Rio; we time the climb to land you at the top with 15 minutes to spare.
Can I do this if I've never hiked?
If you can walk uphill for 40 minutes, yes. Use a headlamp and follow the guide closely on the way up.
What if it rains?
Wet rocks in the dark aren't safe. If the forecast is bad we move you to the next dry sunrise or refund you in full, your choice.
Should I bring cash?
Handy for tips and optional snacks, but most places accept foreign cards, so no stress if you don't have cash.
